The Wanderer – object theatre directed by Goo Zhuan Xuan developed from observations of street life in KL and Penang.
Bersatulah Pelacur-Pelacur Kota Jakarta – physical performance by Hilyati Ramli based on a poem by Indonesian poet, W.S. Rendra
Siapa Salbiah? – drama performance directed by Noor Rizuwan inspired by a Penang urban legend.

This project is an initiative by REKA ART SPACE to provide a platform for young artists to initiate, develop and showcase their arts projects. Reka Art Space provides production support and facilitates the process of these arts projects.
The Artists
Goo Zhuan Xuan
Goo, who has been involved in theatre since his secondary school days, is particularly interested in puppetry. In 2013, he participated in the Chiang Mai Enchanted Puppet Festival under a project called Mystery of the Phoenix Tree directed by Amelia Tan. He was then selected by Kakiseni Arts Exchange Program 2013 to perform in The Mystical Month directed by Hamed Zahmatkesh. The performance toured to different states in Malaysia and travelled to the Hamadan International Children’s Theatre in Iran. This year, he is undergoing an apprenticeship on Potehi (Chinese Glove Puppetry) with one of the few remaining Potehi troupes in Penang.
Nur Hilyati Ramli
Since 2004 Hil has been involved in many aspects of the performing arts such as acting, directing, dancing, stage management, lecturing and art research. She has been a volunteer in children’s workshop performances and children’s performing arts classes in Penang, under the Ombak-Ombak ARTStudio, Anak-Anak Kota and Performing Art Centre of Penang (penangpac) since 2010.
Riz Zolkepli is a graduate from Universiti Sains Malaysia, with a major in Drama and Theatre and Film and Broadcasting as his minor. He is involved in many theatre performances playing various roles such as crew, scenographer, director, and actor. Riz was selected to represent USM and Malaysia in 2013 APV Theater School Festival in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
